WANTED: Cute Cowboy Chase

Today was the Cowboy picture day, and I have to say, these are probably my favorite pictures so far. Even though his outfit, which was a 6-9 month size, was getting a little snug for my little 4 month old baby, he still looked ADORABLE. Sears did another wonderful job with the pictures, and I believe they thought the same because they asked if I would sign a waiver for them to make a big picture of Chase to use in their lobby!!! I'm pretty proud of that! Check out the little outlaw:

Zoo Trip

For our Family Friday outing this week, we took Chase to the zoo for the first time. I'm going to just go through the whole day.. it was such a great day. Chase woke up having a blast in his bed, he was making all sorts of noise, and this is what I found when I went to get him... He is too silly! He loves his green "huge frog" the name was taken from his cousin Ella who has a pink bunny that is made just like Chase's frog that she calls "huge bunny" Anyway, so Chase gets up and is really getting into the spinner thing on his excersaucer, he can really get that thing going!!!
Around 2:30, Chase woke from a good nap and we were ready to head to the zoo! Have you ever seen a kid more excited to be there??
He wore his lion outfit just for the occasion!
We saw so many animals, there were the monkey's...

A big tiger!

Giraffe, Elephant, and a photo I like to call "reflection of zebra butt"

We took a little lunch break

Then we went on to see the rhino's

And the big tiki man face thing outside the rainforest exhibit

Then Chase decided he was tired and took a little snooze

While he was snoozing we saw a bear who was sleeping with his leg in the air and some great big turtles!

(Wonder what would have happened if he would have woke up right then!!!!)

What a fun day! Chase came home, and pretty much took a bath and went to bed. He was exhausted. And I am looking forward to a nice, quiet, peaceful evening...

4 month doctor visit

No pictures to share, just an update on how the 4 month visit went. Chase is huge... just to get an idea, he is now wearing 9-12 month clothing!! He is in the 97th percentile in weight, weighing in at 18 pounds 14 and a half ounces (why don't we just call it 19 pounds since we are just an ounce and a half away!) He is 27 and a half inches long, which is greater than the 97th percentile, and also 1 and a half inches shy of not fitting the measurements for his current car seat/carrier, guess we will get the next car seat ready to go soon!
Chase did really good with shots, I got a little teary, but he was fine. He was eating a bottle when the nurse came in and he was definitely more upset about having his bottle taken from him than he was about getting 3 shots and an oral vaccination! He was screaming from the moment the bottle was removed from his mouth, but as soon as the shots were done, I picked him up, and he was totally quiet. So we fed him the rest of the bottle, and that was that. He didn't run a fever, he wasn't fussy, it was just a normal day!

Dinner with DeeDee and Bobo

Saturday night Chase and I went to go have dinner with DeeDee and Bobo while Danny slept before work. We were there about 15 minutes when Uncle David and Aunt Jill showed up to drop their kids off, before they went out to eat. Chase loves to see other little people, and he enjoyed seeing his cousins for a little while.

Here is DeeDee with a little Chase time before the cousins arrived

Bobo reading his grand kids a book, with a little help from Devon

Devon making sure the boys stick together and Leah riding on the train

Then Devon showed Chase how the train worked, and Chase was paying attention to every word Devon said

Ella was busy making some pants for Danny and Leah decided Chase was hungry and needed a hug.... both girls have the motherly instinct..

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON

Coweta city festival???

I had high hopes for our "family Friday" outing when I saw that Coweta was having their fair. I was thinking, oh it's a small town, it won't be that crowded, we can go walk around and come home. Well, I can't say I was wrong...it definitely was not crowded, we did walk down the two block midway, and we came home. I should have taken it as a sign that we didn't need to even get out when we realized we had forgotten Chase's stroller, but instead, we ran to Walmart and got him a cheap little $12 stroller. I'm glad we have the new wheels, it's nice just to keep something like that in the car, that may have been the funnest thing that came out of our little adventure....

Just getting ready to go in... still excited about going to a fair!!!

Excitement quickly shifting to disappointment...

Could this possibly be a ghost town???

Ahhh there are a few people....

Chase was not amused....

Rolling over

Chase has been rolling from his tummy to his back for the last few weeks, but he was only rolling in private...lol When we would go get him from his bed in the morning or from a rarely taken nap, he would be on his back, so we knew it was happening, we just had not seen it. I finally saw him make the move and got it on video the other day while he was playing....

HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY BOBO, DEEDEE, AND GRAMPY GRIMMACE!!

We love you sooooo much and we are so glad that Chase has the best grandparents in the world!!! Chase is the luckiest kid ever, and his smile shows how much he loves all of you. Thank you for being such wonderful grandparents.

Wanting to walk already????

Dave and Busters

Chase had his first trip to Dave and Busters and I think he really enjoyed it. Again, like at Incredible Pizza and like his Daddy, Chase was having fun with all the games. Here he is right after we got there taking it all in...

He decided to start out with the race car game, he is trying to figure out how he can reach the steering wheel to drive the Nascar....

He also had to contemplate how he would get his feet to work the pedals...

He finally gave up on the racing and decided to go for some gold...

Chase was also excited to spin the big wheel like he sees on the price is right... one day Chase will fulfill one of my life long dreams and "come on down" I am sure!

Finally we went back to where Daddy was playing horse racing with all of his QT buddies and Chase got a little nervous for his Dad to win the race. He started biting his nails and just couldn't watch until the race was over...

Finally leaving, it looks like with all the electronic excitement, Chase is still interested in his regular rattle ball toy, thank goodness he hasn't been transformed into a gamer like his daddy!
